The basics

New to Wax N' Go? Start here — the most common questions about how we work, where we go, and how long it takes.

Do you really come to me?

Yes — we're 100% mobile. We bring everything to your home, work, or job site anywhere in the Troy & Dayton area, and we'll travel a bit further when needed.

How long does a detail take?

Most vehicles are done in about two hours, depending on size and condition. Bigger jobs like campers, semis, or full ceramic coatings take longer — we'll give you a time when we quote it.

What can you detail?

Just about anything that rolls, floats, or hauls — cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, campers, trailers, semis, construction equipment, even side-by-sides and quads.

How do I pay and book?

Easiest is to text us or use the booking form — we respond fast and can often get you in same-day. First-time clients get 10% off.

Do you offer ceramic coatings and paint correction?

We do. We also handle clay bar treatment, decal removal, pet hair removal, engine bays, and pressure washing for driveways and siding.

Ceramic Coating

Do you really apply ceramic coating at my house?

Yes — we're 100% mobile. Unlike the local shops that keep your vehicle for one to three days, we bring the full ceramic setup to your driveway, home, or job site and do it on location.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

A professionally applied ceramic coating protects for years from a single application — far longer than wax, which lasts weeks. Exact longevity depends on the product and how the vehicle is cared for; we'll go over the specifics for your vehicle when we quote it.

Is ceramic coating worth it over wax?

If you want lasting protection and a deep gloss without re-waxing every month or two, yes. Ceramic bonds to the paint as a hard protective layer that resists UV, road salt, and grime, and it makes the vehicle far easier to keep clean.

What does it cost?

Ceramic coating starts at $750, applied at your location. Vehicles that need paint correction first, or larger vehicles like trucks, campers, and boats, are quoted to size and condition — just reach out for an exact number.

Do I need paint correction first?

Ceramic locks in whatever condition the paint is in, so if there are swirls or light scratches you want gone, paint correction first gives the best result. We'll tell you honestly whether your vehicle needs it.

Paint Correction

What is paint correction?

It's machine-polishing your paint to remove swirl marks, light scratches, oxidation, and water spots — restoring the depth and gloss the finish had when it was new. It's different from a wax or coating, which sit on top of the paint; correction actually levels the clear coat.

Will it remove every scratch?

Honestly, no — scratches that have cut through the clear coat to the base coat can't be polished out without paint work. Correction removes swirls and scratches that are within the clear coat, which is the large majority of what dulls a finish. We'll tell you straight what your paint will and won't respond to.

How much does paint correction cost?

Paint correction starts at $500 and is quoted to your vehicle's size and how much correction the paint needs. A light polish on a well-kept car costs less than heavy correction on a neglected finish — we'll give you an exact number after we look at it.

Should I get a ceramic coating after correction?

It's the ideal time. Correction gets the paint to its best state; a ceramic coating then locks that finish in for years and makes it far easier to keep clean. You don't have to, but doing both in one visit gets the most out of the work.

Do you do it at my house?

Yes — we're 100% mobile across Troy, Piqua, Dayton, and the surrounding Miami Valley. We bring everything to your driveway or job site; no shop drop-off.

Pressure Washing

Do you come to my house to pressure wash?

Yes — we're 100% mobile. We bring the full pressure-washing setup to your home, rental, or job site across Troy, Piqua, Dayton, and the surrounding Miami Valley. Nothing for you to rent or haul.

What can you pressure wash?

Driveways and concrete (patios, walkways, slabs), house siding, and larger surfaces like campers, trailers, and big rigs. We also detail vehicles — so we can do your car and your driveway in the same visit.

Won't high pressure damage my siding?

We don't blast siding with high pressure. For siding we use a gentler soft-wash that lifts dirt, mildew, and algae without forcing water behind the panels or stripping paint. High pressure is for hard surfaces like concrete.

What does it cost?

Driveway and concrete cleaning start at $300, and house siding starts at $500. Campers, trailers, and big rigs are priced by the foot ($12.50–$20/ft). Final price depends on the size and condition of the surface — we'll give you an exact number when we look at the job.

Why book exterior washing now?

Summer is peak season for patios, decks, and driveways in Ohio — after winter salt and spring pollen, it's the best time to clean concrete and refresh siding before cookouts, guests, or a home listing. We can usually get you scheduled quickly.

Fleet Detailing

How much does fleet detailing cost?

Fleet and commercial work is quoted to the job — it depends on the type of vehicles, how many, their condition, and how often you want them done. Recurring fleets get scheduled, predictable pricing. Tell us your fleet and we'll put together a number.

Do you come to our lot?

Yes — we're 100% mobile. We bring everything to your yard or job site across the Troy and Dayton area and detail the fleet where it's parked, so your trucks never leave to get cleaned.

What kinds of vehicles can you handle?

Semis, day cabs, sleepers, dump trucks, box trucks, work vans, pickups, and trailers — plus equipment. The gallery shows real fleet and big-rig jobs we've completed. No job is too big.

Can you set up a recurring schedule?

Absolutely — that's how a lot of our commercial customers run it. Pick a cadence that keeps the fleet looking sharp and we'll keep it on the calendar, rain or shine.

Do you polish chrome and aluminum?

Yes — mirror-finish polishing on wheels, fuel tanks, and trim is one of our specialties, and it makes a big rig stand out. We'll include it in the fleet quote.

RV & Boat Detailing

Do you detail RVs and boats?

Yes — motorhomes, travel trailers, campers, and boats are right in our wheelhouse. We handle the big exterior surfaces, oxidation and gloss restoration, and the interior cabin or cockpit. The gallery shows real RV and boat jobs we've done.

What does it cost?

Campers and trailers are priced by the foot, $12.50–$20 per foot depending on size and condition. Larger motorhomes and boats are quoted to the job. Tell us the length and condition and we'll give you an exact price.

Do you come to where my RV or boat is stored?

Yes — we're 100% mobile. We come to your driveway, a storage lot, or the marina across the Troy and Dayton area. No towing a big rig to a wash bay.

Can you fix faded, chalky fiberglass?

Often, yes. Oxidation on gelcoat and fiberglass from years of sun can usually be cut back to restore gloss. We'll look at it honestly and tell you how much shine we can bring back before we start.

Can you clean the inside too?

Absolutely — we detail the cabin, galley, and cockpit along with the exterior, so the whole rig is fresh and trip-ready, inside and out.
